RicaGuitarra – Ricarleth Centeno
I am Ricarleth Centeno, born in Monagas, Venezuela. Music has always been my passion and my path began in the church, playing instruments in a self-taught way. As a teenager, I found my connection with the guitar, and since then I have combined learning, practice and the desire to share this art.
After emigrating to Spain at the age of 20, I discovered my passion for teaching. Thus Ricaguitarra was born, a project that seeks to make the guitar accessible to everyone. Through social networks, I have created an international community, sharing tutorials, music theory and practical techniques. My mission is clear: to bring music to everyone and empower those who dream of learning.
admira: How did you get started on the Spanish classical guitar?
Ricarleth: I grew up in an environment where my father and mother sang and played instruments in church, and that filled me with enthusiasm and made music a fundamental part of my life from a very young age. At the age of 15, I asked my father to teach me to play on his guitar, a family heirloom that, although worn out by time, still had an incredible sound. It was with that guitar that I discovered my passion for the instrument. From then on, I dedicated myself to self-taught learning, researching on the internet and always looking for someone who could guide me. Later on, I was lucky enough to find a private teacher who introduced me to the wonderful world of music theory, which allowed me to further deepen my path as a guitarist.
admira: What do you recommend to look for when choosing a guitar?
Ricarleth: First of all, the quality of the wood, as this influences the sound and durability of the instrument. It is also important to evaluate the comfort, mainly the distance between the strings and the fret, so that playing is a pleasant experience. Finally, it is essential that the sound of the guitar suits your musical style and personality, as it will be your companion on this journey.
admira: What would you like to highlight about the admira A6, Artesanía Series?
Ricarleth: I love its combination of traditional design and very high quality materials. Made with selected woods that give it a warm sound, which I am a fan of, it is ideal both for players who are looking for precision and for those who want to explore deep emotions through their music. In addition, its playing comfort and elegant finish make it a special piece for both stage and personal practice.
admira: Looking ahead… What would your ideal guitar that doesn’t yet exist look like?
Ricarleth: I consider that the ideal guitar is already in my hands, but if I had to describe one that doesn’t exist yet, I would go for a mix between tradition and innovation. I’d love it to maintain the classical Spanish essence, while integrating modern details, such as discreet electric tuners or a system that allows me to adjust the resonance to my style.
admira: Tell us, what project(s) are you working on now?
Ricarleth: I am currently in a process of growth and training. This year I am aiming to enter the conservatory to validate and deepen my musical knowledge. I am also working on expanding my community of guitarists through my platforms, where I teach in a practical and simple way to people from all over the world.
