I started playing the guitar at the age of 10 years old in a self-taught way, a few years later I studied in different music academies with the maestro Felix Santos with whom I learned all the theory that would make me develop as a musician.

In 1994, when I finished my musical studies, I started to work as a guitarist and I evolved professionally as I became known in the musical sector. In 1998 I also started to work as a product demonstrator for the company Letusa, demonstrating different brands of guitars and amplifiers.

Until today I have been able to work both in the studio and live with a large number of artists to whom I am very grateful for counting on my professional services.

admira: How did you end up playing with so many well-known bands and artists?

David: I started very young, playing for different bands and orchestras, where I gained a lot of experience. Then I evolved professionally and was able to work both live and in recording studios with different artists. I also worked as a demonstrator for some important brands in the guitar industry. This has basically been my professional career.

admira: When you are going to buy a classical guitar, what characteristics do you look for?

David: I always look for the communion between the feel of the guitar and the sound it offers, when this communion exists is when I enjoy the guitar and savor each of the notes I play.

admira: What would you like to highlight about the admira Crossover, Artesanía Series?

David: The guitar has an extraordinary feel and sound, and my surprise was when I plugged it in, it still had that natural sound that most of the time is lost when you plug in an acoustic instrument.

admira: What plans do you have on the table for 2025?

David: This year 2025 I’ll be touring with ‘Los Pecos’ (where I use my guitar Admira crossover) and I will also combine this tour with ‘La Orquesta Mondragón’ and ‘Amistades Peligrosas’.

admira: What would your ideal guitar that doesn’t exist yet be like?

David: My ideal guitar does exist, what happens is that it is not one guitar, but many. History has provided us with a great number of good instruments, each one of them gives us a different sound and sensations, it would be quite impossible to put all this together in just one instrument. Depending on the day I feel like playing with one or another, and at that moment that is my ideal guitar.
