With the group Al Liquindoi, he has taken his music to stages all over the country, standing out for a proposal that unites flamenco roots with sounds of jazz, Arab music and Andalusian rock.
José Carrasco and his guitar Admira
The guitar is an extension of the soul for José Carrasco, and his instrument of choice is an Admira guitar, which accompanies him both in the studio and live. The balance between tonal warmth, projection and comfort offered by Admira guitars is fundamental to transmit the emotional intensity that defines his music.
His choice of admira Bulería responds to an affinity with the brand’s philosophy: instruments made with passion, dedication and a deep connection to the Spanish guitar tradition.

admira: How did you get started in music?
José: My beginnings were going to flamenco clubs in Cádiz to soak up live flamenco. Cantaores and cantaoras (male and female singers) shaped my passion for flamenco and made me start playing the instrument accompanying flamenco singing and dancing.
It was my father who was the first person to introduce me to the guitar and who gave me the opportunity to put it in my hands. Both to my father for the first contact and to my mother for her unconditional and tireless support, I owe all my passion, my profession and what I am today with music.
admira: What do you look for in a guitar?
José: In my case, I look for comfort between the wood and my body. I have to feel it and merge with it. The sound or the quality of the sound will come by itself after I am 100% comfortable with it in my hands.
admira: What would you like to highlight about the admira Bulería, Flamenco Series?
José: Above all the thinness of the neck and the comfort of the body when I put it on my leg. That’s what makes it really comfortable, apart from its great sound and its flamenco metal.
The unamplified guitar sounds great, but the best thing is that when it is sounded up it doesn’t lose any quality at all.
admira: What would your ideal guitar that doesn’t exist yet be like?
José: A guitar with an intense and infinite smell of wood, that could be amplified at the touch of a button without the need for a cable, and if you’re dreaming… that would sound like Paco’s picados.
admira: What projects do you have on the table for 2025?
José: For 2025, I have projects on the table that are close to my heart. First of all, we are immersed in the final phase of recording what will be our next EP entitled October, marking a new milestone in our musical journey.
At the same time, I am polishing several pending compositions, works that claim their final form and that will see the light in the next year.
As a culmination to this creative maelstrom, a calendar full of concerts, offering me the opportunity to continue growing and vibrating with the public.
Music is not only written, it is lived, and 2025 will undoubtedly be a year to remember.
