Origins and training

Real name: Dani López
Hometown: Girona, where he took his first musical steps. He started playing the guitar at age 6, and his passion led him to join the band Locus Amoenus during his teenage years, where he played guitar and was the lead vocalist.

Development and style

In 2015, he entered the world of looping with a looper pedal, transforming his music through live loops and original creations. He developed a versatile repertoire that combines acoustic covers and original compositions, all under the name Dani Loops Music.

His music project grew, catering to various environments: weddings, bars, concerts, and street performances—particularly through dynamic and interactive shows.

Influenced by his travels through southern Spain and his connection with the country’s musical roots, he developed a deep interest in flamenco. He now fully dedicates himself to the guitar, focusing his artistic journey on the daily study of this genre, enriching himself both musically and personally through travel, encounters, and cultural experiences.

Lifestyle and philosophy

He has traveled throughout much of Europe, performing on the streets of many cities and bringing his music directly to the people. He currently lives in a camper van, continuing to gather life experiences and enrich his musical background. admira: How did you start in music and develop your current musical style?

Dani: I started playing guitar at six years old through an after-school program my parents signed me up for along with some classmates. Luckily, I enjoyed it from the beginning and felt I had a natural ability for the instrument. Our teacher had a very authentic and diverse musical background—he taught us classic rock, blues, gypsy jazz, and even some melodic pieces. I didn’t fully appreciate the value of that at the time, but over the years I realized it gave me a solid foundation for my musical growth.

After leaving school, I was mainly self-taught. During my teenage years, I started playing with friends and got really into electric guitar. We formed a band that played rock, ska, and other genres. That’s when I really focused on improving my solos, electric guitar technique, and pick control.

After high school, I took a few lessons with a teacher who, although he taught general music, had a strong connection to flamenco. That was my first real introduction to a genre I had only superficially known before. Years later, while traveling through Andalusia and playing live, that interest grew until it became a daily motivation to study it more deeply.

Traveling and meeting people from different cultures also opened me up to other styles like Cuban music, salsa, and its variations. All of that has enriched my playing and artistic exploration.

admira: How do you select your guitars? What do you look for in them?

Dani: Above all, I look for comfort—I want them to feel good in my hands so I can play easily. In terms of sound, I focus on power, especially for strumming, because it adds strength and presence to the music.

admira: Would you highlight anything specific about the admira Bulería-ECF from the Flamenco Series?

Dani: The Admira Bulería stands out for its authentic and powerful sound, especially in strumming and tapping, which are key in flamenco music. Besides being very comfortable to play, it’s a guitar that honors tradition with its finish and craftsmanship.

admira: Let’s get creative… What would your ideal guitar be like if it didn’t exist yet?

Dani: Good question, haha. I think my ideal guitar would be the perfect fusion of tradition and technology—with a high-quality built-in electronic system that’s easy to plug in and adjust without complications, and still delivers excellent sound. This is essential for my work, since unlike traditional flamenco, which uses external mics, I need something more practical and reliable. I’d also want it to be light and comfortable to carry during my travels and performances.

admira: What are your plans for 2025?

Dani: For some time now, I’ve dedicated myself exclusively to the guitar. Due to personal reasons, I decided to make a radical change in my life. My main motivations were the guitar—but above all, traveling—which led me to explore much of Europe, playing in the streets and in various venues.

Recently, after setting up my own camper van with a space designed for playing and studying comfortably, I’ve been able to focus even more on my music. My main goal now is to continue growing as a guitarist, especially focusing on flamenco—studying daily to refine my style and technique, while continuing to share my music on the streets and at concerts.
