admira: When did you start playing music?
Nacho: It started with my attraction to my parents’ records, with artists like The Beatles and Bee Gees. When I was very young, a friend lent me a guitar that he had found abandoned in an attic; it only had three strings, but from the first moment I was mesmerized by that instrument. Shortly after, my mother bought me my first guitar, which is an admira ‘Paloma’. I played it day and night without stopping. How nostalgic to remember those times.
admira: What led you to play your musical style?
Nacho: Many things. Music is a constant journey into one’s inner self. After my time as leader of an indie folk band, called La Familia del Árbol, which I shared with my girlfriend, now wife, I went through a crisis that led me to rethink my role as an artist. The birth of our son changed everything: it transformed my way of playing and singing, and marked the beginning of my solo career.
admira: What do you like about the admira A20-EF, Artesanía Series?
Nacho: Everything. You don’t have to worry because you have a high-quality instrument that supports you in every concert. I usually do a lot of shows with just voice and guitar, and the sound should be enveloping and convey emotions. I love that this guitar allows you to achieve a natural tone, almost indistinguishable from when I used an external microphone, which used to be my only option before I had it. That limited me quite a bit on stage and at certain events. Also, it’s very easy to play, it’s light weight, and it gives me great security and peace of mind. It inspires me a lot every time I use it in concerts. It’s a great guitar, I love it.
admira: Looking to the future… What would be your ideal guitar that doesn’t exist yet?
Nacho: A guitar that didn’t have feedback problems live, it’s a bit of a problem to find the balance and make the sound as natural as possible.
admira: Tell us, what upcoming projects do you have?
Nacho: I am currently presenting and beginning to tour a new album, created in collaboration with the talented musician and composer Antonio Galvañ, known as Parade, its title is PARADE & NACHO CASADO. Together we have made a wonderful and timeless pop album that we are very proud of, and that I believe will bring us much joy. With plans to bring it to the public both this year and next.
