Dani MDR: The new voice of urban music with a flamenco soul

Daniel Martínez, known artistically as Dani MDR, is a young singer-songwriter born in Vélez-Rubio (Almería) who, at just 20 years old, is already emerging as one of the great promises of the urban genre in Spain. His music reflects a generation that knows no limits or labels, naturally fusing rhythms such as Afro, Reggaeton and other contemporary sounds with the deep essence of flamenco that runs through his veins.

Since his first steps in music, Dani MDR has committed to his own sound identity, full of rhythm, feeling and authenticity. His fresh style, accompanied by honest lyrics and a voice full of character, has allowed him to connect with a diverse audience that grows day by day. With each release, Dani reaffirms his place in the current urban scene, proving that the future of the genre can also have an Andalusian accent.

admira: How did you get started in music?

Dani: My passion for music comes from partying, family and hanging out with friends.

admira: What do you look for when choosing a guitar?

Dani: I like guitars that make you feel something, that sound clean and that when you play them you say, ‘Wow!’.

admira: What would you like to highlight about the admira Alegría, Serie Flamencas?

Dani: It has a very strong, clean sound and is very comfortable.

admira: Looking ahead… What would your ideal guitar be like that doesn’t exist yet?

Dani: For me, the perfect guitar would be along the lines of the ‘Lola’ model… I love that guitar.

admira: Tell us, what plans do you have on the horizon?

Dani: We’ve just released an acoustic EP for those who like to listen, and by the end of the year we have several great songs ready. You have to listen to them!
